Do you love to clean and want to make a difference in your community? The Utah State Hospital (USH) is seeking a capable, diligent employee to work as an entry-level Custodian. Custodians at USH are responsible for routine cleaning, laundry, and maintenance of our beautiful facility. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm.

• Bonus: paid in installments leading up to your 12‑month mark for new full‑time employees.

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and restock soiled linens on a daily basis.
• Clean and maintain floors, dust, wax, and polish furniture, wash windows, mirrors, and other glass or plastic items, and empty trash and garbage.
• Maintain building(s) and/or facilities in a clean and orderly condition and remove snow from sidewalks and doorways.
• Sanitize and disinfect areas and/or equipment.
• Set up and arrange tables and chairs.

• Familiar with basic housekeeping practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Physically able to meet the demands of the position, including walking, standing, crouching, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.

• Able to closely follow written or oral instruction and willingly accept training and feedback.
• Diligent, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Detail oriented when completing assigned cleaning duties.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
