Do you love to clean and want to make a difference in your community? The Utah State Hospital (USH) is seeking a capable, diligent employee to work as an entry-level Custodian. Custodians at USH are responsible for routine cleaning, laundry, and maintenance of our beautiful facility. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm.

- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and restock soiled linens on a daily basis.
- Clean and maintain floors, dust, wax, and polish furniture, wash windows, mirrors, and other glass or plastic items, and empty trash and garbage.
- Maintain building(s) and/or facilities in a clean and orderly condition and remove snow from sidewalks and doorways.
- Sanitize and disinfect areas and/or equipment.
- Set up and arrange tables and chairs.
- Familiar with basic housekeeping practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Physically able to meet the demands of the position, including walking, standing, crouching, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Comfortable using cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
- Able to closely follow written or oral instruction and willingly accept training and feedback.
- Diligent, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Detail oriented when completing assigned cleaning duties.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
