Maintenance Generalist Lead; D Shift; MGL - MGL - Dardanelle Plant

Overview

This position assists the Supervisor in coordinating daily departmental responsibilities, ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to and carried out by the team. The role also involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures.

• Lead a team of maintenance technicians to complete all daily maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance (PM) of production process equipment, machinery, and systems within the assigned area.
• Ensure on‑time setup and startup of production lines and support systems.
• Guide team members in monitoring equipment, making required adjustments to meet or exceed company standards and maintenance goals.
• Respond to production maintenance calls, assess needs, assign appropriate technicians, and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist supervision in monitoring technician workmanship, performance, and quality of repair methods, while coaching, guiding, and training in best practices.
• Perform assigned lead SAP PM work orders and scheduled activities during shifts.
• Assist the Supervisor in daily prioritizing, expediting, and completing SAP PM work orders assigned to the team.
• Initiate inspections, create notifications and work orders, and follow up on required repairs.
• Record significant maintenance activity in the maintenance daily log and communicate follow‑up requirements with supervision and shift leads.
• Create a collaborative work environment, balancing workload among team members and maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure team adherence to all safety, hygiene, HACCP, OSHA, EPA, and ethical policies.

• Minimum of 3 months of seniority in a maintenance role.
• 5 attendance points or fewer; no written warnings or suspensions within the last 3 months.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills with the ability to perform maintenance and repairs on process equipment.
• Demonstrated initiative and high performance in completing maintenance activities.
• Ability to lead, coach, guide, and teach other team members in maintenance duties.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to work 12‑hour shifts on a 4‑on/4‑off schedule.
• Must provide own small tools.
• Minimum of 6 months of maintenance/mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work Shift:

D Shift (United States of America) – 12‑hour shifts, 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
