Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Overview

This position must provide a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly, and satisfying environment for residents, employees, and visitors. The housekeeper must follow the instructions given for handling, cleaning, disposing, and moving objects/materials.

$15 per hour, with a $500 signing bonus paid after three months and a $1,500 retention bonus paid after six months.

• Cleaning of halls, common areas, and vacant units, including floors, walls, doors, bathrooms, grounds, stairwells, windows, and appliances as instructed.
• Developing a property cleaning schedule with the supervisor for adequate coverage of buildings and grounds.
• Maintaining appropriate levels of cleaning supply inventory.
• Keeping cleaning equipment in working order.
• Posting notices as needed.
• Coordinating with maintenance and the community manager for scheduling of vacant unit cleaning.
• Decorating for holidays, including hanging decorations.
• Assisting in community meetings, holiday functions, and special resident requests as needed.

• Must be able to work assigned hours as scheduled.
• Must be able to use cleaning supplies as directed.
• Must be able to use housekeeping equipment.
• Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in an affordable housing environment.

• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
