• Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
• Works with close supervision
• Performs manual tasks according to established procedures

Essential Functions

• Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
• Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
• Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
• Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.
• Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains quality standards

• Required education and experience:
  Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

• Preferred education and experience:
  Associate's Degree
• Discipline/Major:
  Maintenance or related discipline preferred
• Knowledge, skills & abilities:
  Ability to work as part of a team. Problem-solving skills. Technical expertise. Automation. Calibration. Equipment maintenance. Failure analysis. Manufacturing support. Mechanical troubleshooting. Numerical control. Production support. Refurbishment. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Equipment repairs. Mechanical maintenance. Equipment monitoring. Process documentation.

• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.
