THIS IS A SAFETY-SENSITIVE JOB FOR PURPOSES OF THE ARKANSAS MEDICAL MARIJUANA AMENDMENT

The CUSTODIAL WORKER is directly supervised by the CENTER DIRECTOR with general supervision from the OLDER WORKER PROGRAM MANAGER. Performs cleaning, maintenance, and care of the center; maintains proper inventory of janitorial supplies; performs outside maintenance as deemed necessary by CENTER DIRECTOR; follows all safety, health and fire prevention standards; performs other duties as assigned.

• PERFORMS CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND CARE OF THE CENTER: will follow approved cleaning schedule to perform specific maintenance duties as listed daily, weekly, bi-monthly, monthly and quarterly; works with Center Director to make any necessary adjustments or changes to cleaning schedule; notifies Center Director immediately of needed repairs to the building or equipment.
• MAINTAINS PROPER INVENTORY OF JANITORIAL SUPPLIES: will be responsible for keeping Center Director informed on supplies that need to be purchased; purchases will be made in a timely manner to prevent depletion of products in inventory; responsible for stocking janitorial supplies as received; keeps soap and towel dispensers filled; changes trash bags daily or as needed; will keep storage areas clean, neat and orderly.
• FOLLOWS ALL SAFETY, HEALTH AND FIRE PREVENTION STANDARDS: will follow all rules, regulations and guidelines to ensure the center is in compliance; will inform Center Director of any deficiencies or problems of the center.

• AGING OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS, INC. designed to protect the privacy, use and disclosure of protected health information and is used in accordance with Federal Requirements (HIPAA).
• ASSISTS IN SETTING UP AND SERVING MEALS: helps set up serving line and serves meals according to portion guidelines.
• AIDS IN MAINTAINING ALL SAFETY, HEALTH, AND FIRE PREVENTION REGULATIONS.
• PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

• All floors are to be swept and damped mopped or vacuumed.
• Bathrooms are to be cleaned (stools, lavatories, urinals, floors) with appropriate cleaners.
• Dispensers are to be stocked with paper and soap products
• All trash cans are to be emptied, refuse properly disposed, and can liners replaced as necessary.
• Cans holding waste food products are to be washed out daily and rinsed with bleach or other appropriate sanitizer as needed.
• Room freshener will be used as necessary to maintain freshness.
• Stock in storerooms will be unpacked from boxes as directed and stored properly (everything must be 6" off floor). Food items will be separated from paper items and cleansers, with each of these items stored separately. Stock is to be rotated regularly.
• Drinking fountains are to be washed and sanitized.
• Sidewalks and entryways are to be swept.
• Perform repairs as needed.

• Apply delimer or similar product to dishwasher, water fountain.
• Mop or clean floor mats

• Polish Stainless-Steel sinks and areas.
• Use furniture polish on all wood furnishings.
• Thoroughly mop, wax and buff floors.
• Exterminate for bugs on schedule set by Center Director.
• Perform repairs as needed.

• Wash windows, both inside and outside.
• If applicable, dust mini or Venetian blinds.
• Clean air vents on furnace/air conditioning systems.
• Change filter on return air vents.
• Clean freezers, coolers, refrigerators, and food carriers

• Conduct facility maintenance and repairs as needed.
