About the Company

Paleovalley and Wild Pastures were born from a simple but radical idea: real food can heal — people, animals, and the planet. When Paleovalley co-founders Autumn and Chas Smith saw how industrialized food was affecting human health and the health of the land, they refused to play along. Autumn’s own journey of healing through nutrient-dense foods lit a fire that became Paleovalley.

From there, the mission grew roots, sprouted wings, and eventually expanded into Wild Pastures to bring regeneratively raised meats directly to families nationwide.

Today, Paleovalley crafts deeply nourishing snacks and supplements made with organic ingredients and honorable sourcing. Wild Pastures connects small American farmers practicing regenerative agriculture with customers who believe better food is worth fighting for. Every product, every partnership, and every decision is guided by a commitment to real ingredients, regenerative practices, and the belief that health is built from the soil up.

We’re a team of grounded doers, curious thinkers, bold builders, and warm humans who like to laugh while doing meaningful work. We're growing quickly, fueled by purpose and a shared desire to repair the food system one thoughtful choice at a time. If you feel energized by impact, drawn to mission, and ready to join a company rewriting the future of food, we’d love to meet you!

About

the Opportunity

Our Maintenance Technician plays an important role in keeping our manufacturing facility operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. In this hands-on role, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and complete routine repairs across production equipment, facility systems, and utilities.

Working under general supervision, you'll independently handle routine maintenance and standard equipment issues while partnering with senior maintenance team members on more complex or higher-risk repairs. This role is a great fit for someone with a solid maintenance foundation who enjoys solving mechanical problems, working across different systems, and continuing to build their technical expertise.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, independently resolving routine issues and escalating more complex or higher-risk problems as appropriate.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and replacement of routine wear components to support equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of refrigeration and ammonia-based freezer systems within applicable training and authorization requirements.
  • Install, assemble, disassemble, move, adjust, and test equipment, machinery, fixtures, and facility improvements; assist senior maintenance team members with more complex work.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance documentation to support troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, equipment conditions, and follow-up needs.
  • Identify equipment concerns, recurring issues, and potential safety hazards; take appropriate action within established procedures and elevate issues requiring additional expertise or authorization.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and spare parts in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, Lockout/Tagout procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and PPE standards.
  • Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, and Quality and Food Safety teams to respond to equipment needs and support safe, efficient operations with minimal downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement
