Schedule:
Full-Time, 35 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Salary: $70,000-$80,000 Are you passionate about empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live their fullest lives? Clearbrook, an agency dedicated to enriching lives and embracing potential for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking a professional to join our Business Office team as a Senior Staff Accountant.
The Senior Staff Accountant maintains accurate financial records, executes month-end closes in accordance with GAAP, and ensures compliance with HUD, funder, and audit requirements. This role owns client banking procedures, supports annual financial audits, and provides technical supervision to the accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ICF client banking reconciliations, bank transfers, and all HUD billing deadlines.
- Reconcile AR clearing accounts, non-operating cash, investments, and assigned GL accounts.
- Ensure tenant files are maintained and complete required EIV and MOR reports.
- Lead the HUD audit process and provide necessary documentation for annual financial statement audits.
- Oversee billing compliance for federal and state rules, including Medicaid and Medicare.
- Utilize Financial Edge NXT to perform accounting activities and support system optimizations.
- Review staff accounting entries, oversee team workload, and provide technical training and support.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Education:
Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - Experience:
3+ years of related experience; 1+ years of supervisory experience
