Government Accounting Technical Manager

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and processes related to government contracts and grants
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to ensure compliance with government accounting standards and regulations
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports related to government contracts and grants
• Lead and coordinate audits and other compliance activities, including providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Manage government accounting and financial reporting projects, including developing project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Lead and mentor accounting staff
• Collaborate with accounting team members and cross-functional departments

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (strongly preferred) or Finance
• Expertise in government accounting principles, practices, and regulations
• Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
• Ability to oversee financial systems and processes related to government contracts and grants
• Ability to provide technical accounting guidance and support
• Knowledge of financial reporting requirements for government contracts and grants
• Ability to lead and coordinate audits and compliance activities
• Ability to manage government accounting and financial reporting projects
• Proficiency in financial software, Excel, and other analytical tools
• Knowledge of government accounting systems and databases
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to lead and mentor accounting staff and collaborate cross-functionally
• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR or eligible to obtain required authorizations

Demonstrates expertise in government accounting principles, including compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Proficient in managing financial systems and reporting for government contracts and grants while leading and mentoring accounting staff.
