Works Directly With: Project Managers, Superintendents, General Superintendents, Field Operations, Safety Department, Subcontractors, Vendors, and Field Employees
Direct Reports: Laborers, Apprentices, Restoration Technicians, and assigned crew member
Basic Functions
The Waterproofing & Structural Restoration Foreman plans, organizes, directs, controls, and monitors daily field activities in a way that supports Suncoast's objectives of safety, quality, cost, and time.
This position is responsible for leading field crews on commercial waterproofing, structural concrete restoration, building envelope restoration, and related specialty repair projects. The Foreman ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, engineering documents, and Suncoast standards.
SUMMARY
The Waterproofing & Structural Restoration Foreman oversees daily construction activities for assigned crews to ensure projects follow schedules, maintain safety compliance, and meet company standards for quality and productivity. This role provides hands-on leadership in the field by assigning work, monitoring production, coordinating materials and equipment, communicating with Superintendents, and helping ensure project milestones are achieved.
This position requires practical field experience in waterproofing, concrete repair, coatings, sealants, structural restoration, and access equipment. The Foreman must be able to lead crews, read project documents, understand work sequencing, enforce safety expectations, and document daily activity through Procore or other approved construction software.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, dependable, hands-on, and able to motivate a crew while maintaining accountability, quality workmanship, and professionalism on the jobsite.

Safety Leadership and Risk Management
- Lead by example and promote a safety-first culture on every jobsite.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, Suncoast safety standards, project-specific safety requirements, and client site rules.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure crew members understand the hazards and work plan for the day.
- Enforce proper PPE usage, fall protection, silica dust control, housekeeping, equipment safety, and safe work practices.
- Report incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and jobsite hazards immediately to the Superintendent or appropriate manager.
- Monitor work involving swing stages, scaffolding, aerial lifts, forklifts, rigging, elevated work areas, and other specialized access equipment.
- Ensure equipment inspections, tie-backs, access setup, and weather-related safety considerations are completed as required.
- Maintain certifications as required for the position, including OSHA, equipment operation, scaffold or swing stage training, and other job-specific requirements.
- Support Suncoast's commitment to completing work safely and correctly.
- Assess daily site conditions and coordinate assigned work with the Superintendent.
- Review project priorities, work areas, manpower needs, materials, tools, equipment, and schedule expectations.
- Assign daily tasks to crew members based on skill level, safety requirements, and project needs.
- Coordinate field activities in alignment with project requirements, specifications, drawings, schedules, and Superintendent direction.
- Ensure materials, tools, equipment, and access needs are staged and available for efficient execution.
- Minimize downtime, reduce delays, and promote productive use of labor and equipment.
- Communicate jobsite needs, delays, missing information, production concerns, and schedule impacts to the Superintendent promptly.
- Act as the site lead in the absence of the Superintendent when assigned.
- Lead, guide, and support crews to complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- Supervise laborers, apprentices, restoration technicians, and assigned crew members.
- Track field hours, manpower, production, and assigned tasks as required.
- Mentor and train less experienced employees in proper work methods, safety practices, and quality expectations.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure employees understand the task, required tools, safety expectations, quality standard, and timeline.
- Address minor field issues promptly and escalate larger concerns to the Superintendent.
