Metro Prep High School, Grade School and Laureate Day School have been educating and supporting students with special needs for over 25 years supported by FGC. Using a multidisciplinary approach, Metro Prep and Laureate Day School provides educational and therapeutic learning opportunities in a small, nurturing environment. This allows our staff to tailor each student’s program to meet his or her individual needs.

• To develop an art curriculum to meet ISBE Learning Standards
• To collaborate with special education teachers to adapt art curriculum to meet each student's individual needs as indicated on the IEP
• To submit quarterly grades to homeroom teachers for report cards
• To complete a class/grade level quarterly summary to be included in report cards
• To participate in weekly planning and prepare (plan and copy) for at least one week at a time
• To maintain attendance, grade book and lesson plans for each class
• To be responsible for classroom maintenance/organization, classroom rules (posted), point sheets (if applicable), peer review, etc.

Monday - Friday (8:00a- 3:30p)

Summer School Session:
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri (8:00a

Pay Rate

Starting at $56,431

Bachelor’s degree

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: PEL or Masters in Art Therapy
