District 214 Community Education is seeking enthusiastic Special Interest Instructors to provide unique, engaging learning experiences to adults in our community.
Do you have a hobby, skill, or area of expertise you love? Whether it is a craft, game, subject, or something entirely your own, we help you turn that passion into a class.
You’ll collaborate with our team to design and deliver enriching courses for adult learners. Classes typically take place on weekday evenings, with flexible scheduling to fit your availability.
Hours: Part‑time, must be available evenings and/or weekends
Location: Various District 214 school locations
Salary: $20–$40 per hour based on experience
Qualifications- Ability to work evening and/or weekend hours
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to perform bending, stooping, and reaching activities as needed
- Demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills in dealing with staff, students, outside officials/agencies, and the general public.
- Project a positive image of the district and exhibit a positive employee attitude.
- Over 18 must submit to background check through District 214.
- Complete new employee GCN training and update annually as required according to deadlines.
- Perform other tasks assigned.
