Special Education IS Teaching Assistant

Description:
Arlington Heights School District 25 has an opening for a full-time Special Education Teaching Assistant (1.0 FTE) at Westgate Elementary School  for the 2025-26 school year.
This position is in an IS classroom. Teaching Assistants provide support to our students with significant special education needs. Special Education Instructional Teachers will provide guidance to ensure that you are implementing the Individualized Education Plans for students throughout their school day during integration into general education classes, special education instructional classes, hallway transitions, lunch, recess and activities of daily living (e.g. toileting, eating, dressing, grooming).
Salary:$22.00/hour

Hours:

8:45 am - 3:45 pm

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid Illinois ELS (PARA) Paraprofessional License, SUB license or PEL
• Have a genuine interest in students
• Abilityto effectively communicate with children and adults
