Beginning August 26, 2024, and running through June 10, 2025, this contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to work within an elementary population of approximately 380 students.
As a key member of the educational and support team, youll play a vital role in all initial and reevaluation processes for special education, participate in data reviews for MTSS students, and respond to crises as they arise. While you wont be assigned IEP therapy minutes or session caseloads, your expertise is essential in consultations, data interpretation, and direct collaboration with educators and families.
Additionally, youll provide critical support for parochial initial and reevaluations at the district level under the guidance of the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services.
- Valid School Psychologist certification
- Experience in K-5 settings preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, data analysis, and MTSS support
- Familiarity with special education processes and legal requirements
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Conduct and coordinate initial and re-evaluations for special education
- Participate in student data reviews and MTSS support
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students
- Consult with teachers, families, and support staff
- Facilitate district-level evaluations for parochial students as assigned
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and follow school procedures
- Monday Friday, 8:15 am3:45 pm (follows school calendar)
- Elementary building-based, with some district responsibilities
