Primary Special Ed Teacher - Metro Prep Grade School - Arlington Heights

Job Description

Using a multidisciplinary approach, Metro Prep and Laureate Day School provides educational and therapeutic learning opportunities in a small nurturing environment, allowing staff to tailor each student's program to meet their individual needs.

• Collaborate with co‑workers in implementation of the IEP.
• Develop curriculum to meet each student's individual needs as indicated on the IEP.
• Maintain an IEP for each student and update quarterly and annually based on collected data.
• Complete an educational summary for each student quarterly and upon dismissal.
• Prepare quarterly report cards.
• Attend district staffings as required.
• Attend all required staff meetings and in‑services.
• Participate in weekly planning and prepare (plan and copy) for at least one week at a time.
• Maintain attendance, grade book and lesson plans for each student.
• Maintain and upkeep an inventory of classroom materials.

Regular school year:
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Work location:

2525 E. Oakton St., Arlington Heights, IL 60005.

Pay rate: $56,431.
