Tagore Tech is pioneering a new semiconductor process that enables high RF power at competitive price points. We are a fabless semiconductor company with design centers in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Our R&D team is dedicated to developing disruptive solutions leveraging wide bandgap technologies that address RF design challenges and accelerate time-to-market for a wide range of applications, from 5G cellular infrastructure to consumer electronics, automotive, and defense and security.
Our high-power products, including RF switches, RF low-noise amplifiers, and RF power amplifiers, are essential for wireless infrastructure and high-power radios. We partner with leading semiconductor foundries and assembly houses to deliver products that offer premium quality and proven high reliability.
We are seeking a high-caliber and motivated Graduate or PhD student to join our team as an OnWafer RF Test Intern for the upcoming summer. Based on our Arlington Heights office, you will play a hands-on role in characterizing and validating next-generation RF semiconductor devices. This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical RF design and physical device performance through advanced measurement and modeling.
WhatYou’ll Do
- On-Wafer Probing:
Execute high-frequency RF and DC measurements on wafer-level devices using manual and automated probe stations. - Calibration & Precision:
Perform complex system-level calibrations (SOLT, TRL, etc.) to ensure measurement accuracy across VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators. - Data Characterization:
Analyze device performance metrics including S-parameters, Noise Figure (NF), and IP3. - Model Development:
Collaborate with the modeling team to support device model development flows, gaining insight into how physical measurements inform circuit simulations. - Validation Reporting:
Document test results and present findings to the design and process engineering teams to support product optimization.
- Education:
Currently enrolled in an MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related field) with a focus on RF/Microwave circuits or Semiconductor Physics. - RF Fundamentals:
Strong understanding of Smith Charts, impedance matching, and transmission line theory. - Hands-on
Experience:
Previous experience in a lab environment using RF test equipment (VNAs, Oscilloscopes, etc.). - Software
Skills:
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW for data collection and analysis is highly preferred. - Tools:
Familiarity with EDA tools like Keysight ADS or Cadence Virtuoso is a plus.
Job Type: Summer Internship
