Role SummaryThe Cash Manager is responsible for managing Concert Group’s daily cash position, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and cash forecasting processes. This role ensures sufficient cash is available to meet operating needs, supports prudent working capital management, and strengthens cash controls across the organization.
Working closely with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders, the Cash Manager will prepare accurate cash reporting, monitor cash inflows and outflows, identify liquidity risks and opportunities, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor daily cash balances, cash activity, and liquidity requirements to ensure funding is available for operational obligations.
- Develop, maintain, and improve short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts using input from Finance, Accounting, Claims, Underwriting, and other business partners.
- Prepare regular cash reporting, variance analysis, and liquidity updates for Finance leadership and senior management.
- Manage bank account administration, online banking access, and relationships with banking partners, including service quality, documentation, and fees.
- Oversee execution and review of wire transfers, ACH payments, deposits, and other cash transactions in accordance with approved policies and controls.
- Partner with Accounting to optimize payment timing, collections visibility, reconciliations, and working capital processes.
- Maintain and enhance cash management procedures, internal controls, segregation of duties, and audit-ready documentation.
- Identify cash management risks, control gaps, and process improvement opportunities; recommend and implement practical solutions.
- Support system enhancements, automation initiatives, and reporting improvements related to treasury and cash operations.
- Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audit requests related to cash activity, bank accounts, and controls.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cash management, treasury, accounting, or a related finance role.
- Strong understanding of cash forecasting, liquidity management, bank operations, payment processes, and internal controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Experience using ERP, banking, or treasury management systems; ability to learn and improve systems-driven processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain cash activity and liquidity trends to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), CPA, or related professional qualification.
- Property and casualty insurance, reinsurance, or financial services industry experience.
- Experience implementing or enhancing treasury management systems, banking platforms, or cash reporting tools.
- Experience documenting procedures, strengthening controls, and supporting audit or regulatory requests.
- Base annual salary: $110,000 - $140,000
