The Fiscal Analyst performs financial analysis and coordinates budget development and implementation for the Illinois Board of Higher Education. The role manages data collection, reporting, and analysis across operating and capital budget cycles for the state's higher education system, while supporting strategic planning and policy initiatives. This is a full-time salaried position reporting to the Director of Higher Education Finance Policy in Springfield.
Keyqualifications:
- Four years combined education/work experience in financial analysis, accounting, business, economics, finance, or statistics
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, and large dataset analysis
- Knowledge of financial reporting, federal/state/university accounting practices, and financial systems
- Strong project management and time management skills with ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and problem-solve
