Position Overview
First Bio, a CLIA-certified laboratory in the Chicago area, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Molecular Technologist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in molecular diagnostics and a strong commitment to quality and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Perform molecular biology assays (qPCR) in a CLIA-regulated environment
- Follow SOPs, quality control, and quality assurance procedures
- Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records
- Assist with assay validation, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and laboratory safety standards
- Maintain laboratory equipment and reagents
- Bachelor’s degree (undergraduate) in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Prior experience in a CLIA-certified laboratory strongly preferred
- Familiarity with molecular diagnostic techniques and instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team
