Are you the person friends, family, or coworkers turn to when they’re stuck with tech? Do you enjoy making complex tools feel simple and accessible? If so, this role is for you.

We’re looking for a customer‑focused, tech‑savvy Digital Services Advisor to join our team and play a key role in connecting our community with the digital world. This position requires extensive interaction in assisting the public with all aspects of technology available at the library, including our digital media lab, The Studio. Digital Services staff also provide support to Makerplace.

What You’ll Do
  • Be the go-to expert at our Tech Learning Center—providing one‑on‑one support with computers, smartphones, tablets, and more
  • Teach customers how to confidently use digital tools, apps, and online resources
  • Lead engaging workshops on technology topics for individuals and groups
  • Support and maintain public technology and our Library of Things collection
  • Share your expertise with staff and help build a culture of digital confidence across the organization
  • Connect customers with the full range of library services and resources
What You Bring
  • A passion for helping people and delivering outstanding customer service
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain tech in a clear, approachable way
  • Experience with current technologies (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, popular software, and digital tools)
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for staying on top of tech trends
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience
  • A positive and friendly customer service attitude, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff and customers in alignment with Our Culture and IDEA.

Education: High school diploma/GED required. 2‑3 years college coursework preferred.

Hours and Scheduling: Part‑time, average of 15 hours per week.

Schedule: Every Friday, 4:30‑9:00 p.m., and fixed weekend shift rotation required every 4th weekend. General availability to take on shifts as needed.

Salary: $19.95‑$24.90 per hour, depending on qualifications.
