Position Overview

The Desktop Support Technician provides hands‑on technical support for hardware, software, and end‑user systems; ensuring teams remain connected, supported, and equipped to deliver high‑quality care. This role supports day‑to‑day IT operations across the organization, troubleshooting issues, maintaining equipment, and partnering with internal teams and vendors to ensure a reliable and efficient technology environment.

What You’ll Do Technical Support & Troubleshooting
  • Provide day‑to‑day support for hardware, software, and user systems
  • Troubleshoot issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and connectivity
  • Support network and telecommunications systems as needed
  • Document, track, and resolve user support requests in a timely manner
System Setup & Maintenance
  • Install, configure, and relocate desktop equipment and peripherals
  • Set up and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and phone systems
  • Manage hardware inventory, including tracking and lifecycle maintenance
  • Ensure systems are functioning efficiently and aligned with organizational standards
  • Partner with external vendors to resolve hardware, software, and service issues
  • Communicate updates, timelines, and project status to team members and leadership
  • Collaborate with IT team members on support issues and ongoing projects
  • Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, systems, and user experience
What You Bring Required
  • Strong customer service mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of PC hardware, software, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred
  • Associate degree in a related field or 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Active Directory
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar
  • Equivalent hands‑on technical experience may be considered in place of formal certifications
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
  • Ability to travel between locations as needed
