We're looking for an IT Help Desk Technician to provide technical support to library staff and maintain the technology that powers our public services. If you enjoy troubleshooting, solving problems, and helping others succeed with technology, we'd love to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for PCs, Macs, software, peripherals, printers, and audio-visual equipment.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Assist with technology rollouts, software upgrades, and other IT projects.
- Maintain public computers and technology at library locations and hosted sites.
- Perform routine system maintenance, reporting, and housekeeping tasks.
- Stay current with emerging technology through professional development and ongoing learning.
Requirements & Skills
- Three to five years of experience supporting PCs, Macs, and computer peripherals.
- Experience working in a networked environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows; experience with Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Computer-related college coursework, technical training, or industry certifications preferred.

HoursFull time 37.5 hours/week. Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm & Sunday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
$24.50 to $30.00/hour depending on qualifications
