Forklift Operator, General Labor
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the associate will accurately and efficiently select products in the warehouse using full and partial pallet order selection using forklift and with electronic pallet jack when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate electric forklift, which requires moving levers and pressing pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus in the cooler, freezer and the dry spaces of the warehouse to complete full and partial pallet order selection using forklift and with electric pallet jack when needed.
Store and remove pallets of products from rack locations.
Put product in overflow locations.
Hand stack product on and off pallets into primary locations as required.
Perform secondary duties of order selector and forklift operator as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
High school diploma/GED
Experience
Required:
1+ years warehouse distribution experience
1+ years standup forklift experience
Technical
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
Ability to handle up to 80 lbs, 50 lbs regularly is required
Ability to move levers and pressing foot pedals to drive electric forklift and control movement of lifting apparatus
Ability to read customer orders from label screen
Adherence to all applicable GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) personal hygiene and SQF (Safety Quality Food) policies and procedures

This position requires the ability to stand, walk and use hands, fingers and feet to operate electric pallet forklift. Must be able to walk, bend, reach and stoop regularly
Work Environment:
An environment with temperatures of 0, 35, 65 degrees and ambient temperatures. Exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold and/or humid conditions. Notice level is usually loud with moving mechanical parts/equipment.
