Overview
We are seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Integrated Pain Management (IPM) various locations. This role is critical in ensuring efficient patient reception, administrative support, and clinical assistance. The SS/CNP will act as a liaison between patients and providers, contributing to a seamless healthcare experience.
Responsibilities- Diagnoses and treats acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
- Analyzes and interprets patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.
- Diagnoses or treat acute health care problems such as illnesses, infections, or injuries.
- Recommend diagnostic or therapeutic interventions.
- Prescribe medications.
- Educates patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.
- Orders, performs, or interprets the results of diagnostic tests.
- Maintains complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses.
- Detects and responds to adverse drug reactions.
- Keeps abreast of developments in nursing.
- Refer patients for primary care conditions.
- Schedules follow-up visits to monitor patients or evaluate health or illness care.
- Perform routine or annual physical examinations.
- Supervises or coordinates patient care or support staff activities.
- Maintains current knowledge of state legal regulations for nurse practitioner practice.
- Keeps abreast of regulatory processes and payer systems.
- Education:
Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Nursing. - Experience in clinical or hospital setting.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision making.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Experience:
3-5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Licenses/Certifications:
Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. - Strong understanding of healthcare laws and ethics.
- Proficiency in performing clinical procedures.
- Traveling for a 3-month training period is required.
