Position Overview
Registered Nurse – Infusion Clinic (Full‑time, 32 hours/week) at Northwest Community Hospital, 3060 W Salt Creek Ln, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.
Hourly Compensation: $36.00 – $55.80 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. Job may require float to Niles Infusion Clinic.
- Deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other clinical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
- Develop a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
- Provide patient assessment and collect health data involving patient, family, and other health care providers.
- Communicate plan of care to patient and family regularly, respecting patient wishes and engaging in mutual goal setting.
- Share patient data with physicians and interdisciplinary team as indicated.
- Document patient health data, interventions, and communications.
- Provide teaching on disease management strategies, emergency care, and drug information when appropriate.
- Identify community resources to support patient self‑management of disease.
- Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers, students, and other health care providers.
- Assist technical staff with injection of contrast, venipuncture, administration of drugs, oxygen therapy, and IV management.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and nursing research.
- Keep abreast of research and practice trends in wound/ostomy/skin care; support staff in implementing evidence‑based care.
- If skilled, conduct daily rounds of wound/ostomy/skin care patients and monitor effectiveness of treatment plans.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Current Illinois RN Licensure.
- Minimum one year of infusion or oncology experience (preferred).
