Hourly Pay Range
$43.69 - $67.72. The hourly pay rate is determined by a candidate's expertise, years of experience, and other factors.
Location & ScheduleArlington Heights, Illinois. Full Time. Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Requires travel to other sites based on department needs.
OverviewAs the Manager of Nursing Triage, you will oversee the triage department, leading a team to assess, evaluate, and provide initial care across emergency, urgent care, and telehealth settings. Strong leadership, clinical expertise, and commitment to high-quality patient care are essential.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the triage department.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and high-quality care delivery.
- Supervise and mentor RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate staff schedules, assignments, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the triage process, ensuring timely assessment and initial care.
- Prioritize patient needs and allocate resources accordingly.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and participation in audits.
- Manage department resources, staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist in budget planning and control expenses.
- Facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff.
- Oversee accurate documentation of assessments and interventions in electronic health records.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and hospital policies.
- Maintain a safe and compliant care environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required) or Master's in Nursing (preferred).
- 5+ years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Illinois.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association (required).
- ACLS certification from American Heart Association (preferred).
