$40.45 - $62.70 per hour, based on expertise and experience.

Position Summary

RN Case Manager, Workers Compensation – provides care coordination and case management for injured team members to support their safe and efficient return to work.

Location: Arlington Heights, IL

Employment Type: Full time (40 hours/week)

Hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:00am‑4:30pm

Travel: Travel to other Endeavor Health locations (e.g., Skokie) required.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate medical care of team members with work‑related injuries or illnesses from initial injury/illness through return to work or case closure.
  • Perform in‑person, telephonic, or video visit assessments to monitor medical progress and identify potential barriers to recovery.
  • Communicate regularly with workers’ compensation carriers, third‑party administrators (TPAs), and legal teams to manage claims and facilitate case resolution.
  • Coordinate and schedule tests, procedures, appointments, and treatments, ensuring services are received in a timely manner when necessary.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other providers to ensure appropriate treatment plans are developed and followed.
  • Develop and implement individualized return‑to‑work (RTW) plans in coordination with Employee Health, Human Resources, and departmental leadership.
  • Monitor compliance with treatment and RTW protocols; raise concerns when needed.
  • Work closely with team member’s care team to determine functional capacity and work status.
  • Participate in communicable disease clearance for team members returning to work for non‑occupational illnesses.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records; document all case activity accurately within the case management system.
  • Provide patient care in compliance with NPSG and Core Measures, maintain Joint Commission readiness, and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Build relationships across Endeavor Health to support organizational and team objectives, responding promptly to customer needs and managing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Act as a change agent to implement best practices in health, safety, and workforce wellbeing.
  • Educate team members on the workers’ compensation process, resources, and wellness practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of team member and patient information, and be sensitive to time and budget constraints.
  • Support additional projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare/Science.
  • Certification: Registered Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR & AED through the American Heart Association.
  • Certification: Certification in case management (CCM) or related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 3+ years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Skills: Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, compassionate and caring nature, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, knowledge of workers’ compensation laws/regulations and claim management practices.
