We are seeking a Lab Technician III to support a Bioanalytical laboratory team with routine and non-routine analytical testing and laboratory activities. This is approximately 80% hands‑on lab work and 20% documentation/support
.
The ideal candidate will have a Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related science background and hands‑on experience with basic laboratory techniques. Strong recent graduates with relevant laboratory experience may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hands‑on lab activities including pipetting, sample preparation, weighing, solution/standard preparation, and centrifugation
. - Support scientists with routine and non‑routine analytical testing.
- Perform and learn various analytical techniques.
- Support HPLC testing and Empower when applicable.
- Maintain reagents, glassware, equipment, and general lab organization.
- Document experiments and results using ELN/eLN
. - Follow laboratory safety, SOP, GLP/GMP, and quality requirements.
- BS/MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology
, or related field. - 1-3 years of hands‑on laboratory experience
; strong recent graduates may be considered. - Experience with pipetting, sample preparation, solution/standard preparation, weighing, and centrifugation
. - Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Lake County, IL
.
- HPLC and Empower
- Pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience
- Bioanalytical/analytical testing
- Protein/biologics or small‑molecule experience
- GLP/GMP/cGMP experience
- SEC, CEX, chromatography
, or spectroscopy
Note: HPLC and Empower are preferred but can be trained. SEC/CEX and pharma/GLP/GMP experience are helpful but not required.
