Store Consultant

The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience to all customers, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives and provide solutions. This customer service focused team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the Store's business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. They will be responsible for taking orders, coordinating activities in the Store, providing pricing and product information, and recommending appropriate Fed Ex Office products and services.

The Store Consultant will operate and maintain a wide variety of equipment, move boxes and equipment, stock materials, manage the production queue and output, manage complex projects, manage retail supply, and complete assigned tasks based on priority.

General duties and responsibilities include:

  • Following instructions of supervisors and assisting other team members in performing store functions
  • Assisting in the training of store team members
  • Demonstrating consultative behaviors in a retail environment to understand each customer's individualized need
  • Providing customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics and shipping product lines and can recommend appropriate Fed Ex Office products and services
  • Ensuring confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages
  • Performing multiple tasks at the same time
  • Adhering to all Fed Ex Office team member and retail store standards, as outlined in the team member handbook

Minimum qualifications and requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 6+ months of specialized experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Essential functions include:

  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
  • Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
  • Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
  • Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the Fed Ex Office business

Pay transparency:
This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law.

An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $18.35 - $21.57/hr
