A Japanese electronics manufacturer near Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Sales Account Representative to support their business development operations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business, Marketing, Electronics Engineering, or a similar field, prior B2B account management or sales experience, basic working knowledge of electronics, semiconductors, and/or circuit board technology, and the ability to work as part of a team for the success of the company.
This is a full-time and direct hire role, offering full benefits including health, dental, and vision insurances, 401k options, PTO, and a bonus structure. The base salary for this position is a range between $70,000 to $80,000 annually, dependent on level of prior experience. Average travel amount is anticipated to be between 25 – 30%, with an increase during busy periods dependent on business needs.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a network of prospective customer accounts to produce new sales leads
- Prospect new clients and build strong business relationships
- Connect with existing accounts in the automotive and manufacturing industries to understand their current business needs, and alert them to new product and service offerings that may be of interest
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to create business strategies that effectively position the company competitively in the electronics marketplace
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the product's utility to prospective customers
- Travel regularly to visit clients and establish a visible presence at their location, along with attending trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences
- Provide excellent customer service at every stage of the sales process, ensuring customers receive their order exactly to their specifications
- Collaborate with engineering, production and quality departments on product changes and custom orders
- Maintain customer files, sales reports, part number files, and pricing
- Assist in other areas when necessary
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of prior B2B sales or account management experience, preferably with other electronics manufacturers or related industries.
- An exceptionally high degree of professionalism, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to travel 25 - 50% nationwide throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Occasional international travel may also be required.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high sales performance.
- Japanese language ability is a plus but not required. Multicultural office experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
