Intertek, a nationally recognized testing lab and provider of Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification (ATIC) services, is seeking a Sales Representative to join our Electrical Sales team.
Our Electrical business line applies product testing expertise to help clients meet safety, performance, environmental and quality requirements across multiple markets. We provide assurance, testing, inspection and certification for appliances, consumer electronics, lighting, medical devices, ICT, HVACR, industrial and energy transmission and distribution. Intertek continually innovates to reduce risk worldwide, with a purpose of bringing quality, safety and sustainability to life.
Whatwe’re looking for
The Sales Representative is responsible for direct sales activity within an assigned territory, identifying and developing new accounts using Intertek’s ATIC solutions.
Compensation & BenefitsSales Representatives receive a base salary plus a monthly incentive based on sales goals. Compensation is determined by skill set, experience, qualifications and other relevant factors.

What you’ll do- Sell Intertek’s services within an assigned vertical, account and territory through effective client research, prospecting and networking.
- Meet with current and prospective customers via client presentations and participation at trade shows.
- Meet order and revenue quotas on a monthly basis.
- Write and follow up on proposals, specify appropriate standards and pricing; follow through on sales transactions to ensure a superior customer experience for every project.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Meet all activity targets and log activity in iConnect as required.
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
- HS Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years successful direct sales experience.
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exceptional ability to communicate and interact effectively in written and verbal presentation formats.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment with shifting priorities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
- Physical dexterity and mobility to travel via car, airplane and to perform all clerical functions inherent to the position.
- Business‑to‑business sales experience.
- Experience with CRM tools (MS Dynamics, Salesforce or other).
