Sales Manager - Savory & Bakery

Job Title:

Sales Account Manager - Specialty/Functional Ingredients
Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to achieve revenue, margin, and growth objectives across assigned accounts and market segments
• Own sales across territory of Illinois and Wisconsin
• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities with food, beverage, and nutraceutical manufacturers, with a strong emphasis on Savory and Bakery Applications
• Manage and grow relationships with key customers, including R&D, procurement, quality, operations, and commercial stakeholders
• Sell specialty and functional ingredients by understanding customer applications, product requirements, technical challenges, and commercial priorities
• Conduct consultative sales discussions and present tailored ingredient solutions that address formulation, processing, performance, cost, sustainability, and regulatory needs
• Work closely with marketing, product management, customer service, supply chain, quality, and technical teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience

• College degree in Business, Food Science or equivalency is a strong asset
• 5-10 years of ingredient sales experience required with a preference for functional and technical ingredients preferred
• Strong communication skills, both external and internal
• Understanding of Company product positioning and competitive conditions
• A strong track record of success (profitable sales growth)
• A great team member, with ability to lead cross functional teams to execute Customer strategies
• High Growth mindset- both in personal and business
• Experience selling Ingredients into Savory/Bakery applications
