Overview
As a technician, you will support our team in safeguarding our clients' assets. A technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing surveillance, access, audio and video, intercom systems, fire alarms, intrusion, and residential security in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. They ensure systems function correctly and comply with fire codes and safety regulations. Technicians will inspect and test existing systems and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
Technicians must thoroughly understand electrical systems, components, and local codes and regulations. They must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems and identify and repair faulty components. Technicians also provide technical support and instruction to customers on properly using and maintaining systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair surveillance, access, audio and video, intercom systems, fire alarms, intrusion, and residential security in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
- Ensure systems function correctly and comply with fire codes and safety regulations.
- Inspect and test existing systems and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Understand electrical systems, components, and local codes and regulations; troubleshoot and diagnose problems; identify and repair faulty components.
- Provide technical support and instruction to customers on properly using and maintaining systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role supporting fire systems.
- Familiarity with iPhone/iPad and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to using hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Time management and organizational skills.

- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including client sites and on ladders.
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Core work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and travel to various customer sites is required.
