Seasonal Truck Driver

is looking for a
Seasonal Truck Driver to join the team! This individual would help support during our fall harvest (now-mid Dec), hauling fertilizer, liquid chemical, and anhydrous (if has applicable endorsements). The ideal candidate would have a Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements or willing to obtain and have the ability to work M-Sat 10-12 hours days (flexibility with schedule).

This is a great opportunity to get some extra cash in a short period of time.

• Operate a semi tractor and trailer and or straight truck to deliver products to customers in the area in a safe and timely manner.
• Load and unload product as required, including connecting and disconnecting trailers for product transfer, and follow safety protocols for handling products
• Prepare and complete delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs.
• Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries and maintain positive customer interactions
• Drive in accordance with DOT regulations, company policies, and compliance requirements
• Perform pre trip and post trip inspections, and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and equipment issues; follow required
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance route knowledge, equipment operation skills, and safety awareness
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Additional maintenance, cleaning, and operational tasks as needed

• Entry-level to early-career commercial driving role; prior experience preferred but not required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class A or Class B CDL
• Must meet age requirement
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.

• Prior commercial driving experience (including experience operating a straight truck or tractor/trailer)
• Demonstrated safe-driving performance and ability to make sound safety decisions in changing weather and road conditions
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings, which may include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and trailers

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
