Responsibilities:
  • Accurately diagnose and repair automatic and manual transmissions on a variety of Chevrolet vehicles.
  • Perform thorough inspections to identify the root cause of transmission problems.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble transmissions according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Replace or repair worn or damaged components, including gears, clutches, seals, and bearings.
  • Conduct necessary adjustments and calibrations to ensure proper transmission function.
  • Perform routine maintenance on transmissions.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and software to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Clearly and accurately document all work performed, including parts used and labor involved.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding diagnosis, recommended repairs, and estimated completion times.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest automotive technology and repair procedures, particularly for Chevrolet vehicles.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience at an automotive dealership
  • Years of experience vary per position
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
