Maintenance Technician

The maintenance technician is an essential part of the operations team. The position supports ongoing building maintenance at our locations in Fort Worth and Arlington. In the position you will perform maintenance inspections and repairs as needed, including facility lighting, routine painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC system, sheetrock repair, alarm systems and floor care. Responsibilities also include developing a preventative maintenance program in conjunction with the Facilities Manager, picking up donations and transporting them between multiple facilities, and purchasing tools, supplies and equipment under the direction of supervisor.

The maintenance technician is required to participate in an on-call rotation schedule to cover evenings and weekends and to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls in a timely fashion.

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• 1–3 years of related maintenance experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Current Texas Driver’s License required
• Proof of liability automobile insurance
• Frequent prolonged sitting, occasional walking, stooping, and standing; ability to lift 50 pounds
• Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals and substances
