Salary The hourly rate for this position ranges from $15.77 to $15.77. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.

The Housekeeper will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of a residence or apartment building. Responsibilities include general cleaning, upkeep, and preparing spaces for operation, along with tasks related to laundry, waste removal, and restocking supplies.
Essential Functions- Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks in residences, including floor care, surface sanitation, waste removal, and supply replenishment to maintain readiness and cleanliness.
- Perform hotel-style cleaning duties, including making beds, washing linens and towels, cleaning appliances and dishes, removing trash, emptying refrigerators, cleaning under and behind appliances, and restocking coffee and bathroom supplies.
- Clean and detail kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures to ensure they are sanitary and well-maintained.
- Operate custodial equipment such as vacuums, buffers, scrubbers, commercial cleaning equipment, and extractors.
- Perform make‑ready cleaning in apartments and residence halls as needed.
- Promote energy conservation by ensuring lights are turned off; inspect buildings for cleanliness, maintenance needs, and completed work orders; assist in managing custodial inventory and supplies.
- Respond to on‑call emergencies before, during, or after normal hours, including fires, electrical outages, floods, icy conditions, and other campus emergencies.
- Performs other duties assigned.
- High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be physically able to perform all required tasks.
- High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in housekeeping or custodial services.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures. Proficiency in using custodial chemicals.
- Skilled in operating housekeeping equipment.
- Ability to carry out duties effectively by following oral and written instructions.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stand, sit, kneel and squat.
- Monday through Friday; 8:00am through 4:30pm
- Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).
- May work in extreme temperatures.
- May work in all weather conditions.
- May work around biohazards.
- May work around chemicals.
- Essential position; may be required to report during campus emergencies.
- Climbing of ladders.
- Position may be designated security-sensitive based on job duties or location.
