The Engineer at Caravan Court responds to maintenance guest requests and facilitates preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.

• Operational Responsibilities
  • Familiarity with
    • door entry system
    • Small appliances (TV, Steamer, Safe, Hair Dryer)
    • Large appliances (Boilers, Washers, Dryers, Pool Pump, Irrigation)
    • HVAC
    • Plumbing
    • Electrical
    • Carpentry
    • Refrigeration
    • Fire system
• Guest Services
  • Anticipate and attend to guest needs during interactions
  • Be proactive when attending to guests
• Team Support and Training
  • Attend and contribute to department meetings
  • Participate in cross training
  • Complete all required trainings
• Communication and Reporting
  • Facilitate all internal communications and follow up accordingly
  • Run all reports necessary to the operation
  • Complete full shift pass on reports and checklists
  • Log all maintenance work in appropriate platforms
• Safety & Compliance
  • Adhere to all safety and security guidelines

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
• Intermediate knowledge of power tools
• Intermediate knowledge of general maintenance

• Sitting:
  Short periods of time
• Standing/Walking:
  Long periods of standing, minimum of 5 consecutive hours
• Lifting/Carrying:
  Occasionally, maximum of 50 pounds

• Interior:
  Guest rooms/ hallways/ public areas
• Exterior:
  All exteriors of the hotel including rooftops

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Display courteous behavior with guests and team members
• Report any unsafe conditions immediately
  
  Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

• Education and Experience
  • Prior hotel maintenance experience. Minimum 2 years
  • No minimum education requirements required
