This position will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning and waxing floors, shampooing rugs, maintaining linoleum flooring, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.
Responsibilities- Stripping and Waxing, & Carpet Cleaning
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming utilizing a backpack vacuum
- Gather and empty trash
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
- Complete any miscellaneous cleaning requests per management or the customer
- Adherence to all safety procedures and use of proper PPE
- Complete understanding of the Six Mile training materials
- Acknowledgment of the Job Hazard/Job Hazard analysis
- Performs incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude
- High School diploma or GED
- Prior floor stripping and waxing experience required
- Knowledge & Usage of Strip and Wax and Floor Buffing Machine Equipment or Knowledge and Usage of Carpet Extraction Equipment
- Must have the ability to carry heavy objects of up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push, pull, stoop, bend or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening
This position is generally active, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. Employee must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times.
