Job Overview
The ParkX Office Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in an office environment. This role ensures that all office areas, including floors, desks, restrooms, kitchens, and meeting rooms, are properly cleaned and maintained, providing a professional and comfortable environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work professionally and courteously with property staff, tenants, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain all office areas, including floors, desks, restrooms, kitchens, and meeting rooms.
- Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Complete daily cleaning and janitorial tasks as assigned by the Senior Operations Manager, Janitorial.
- Report to assigned location in the approved ParkX Porter uniform.
- Report to assigned location before the start of the work shift.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and cleaning standards.
- Exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor with all site visitors.
- Acknowledge, greet, and interact professionally with property staff and guests, using appropriate protocols.
- Assist management teams with special cleaning or maintenance requests as needed.
- Always maintain a neat and orderly janitorial closet and storage areas, free of debris and hazards.
- Complete any required end-of-shift documentation and ensure proper transfer of responsibilities to the next shift.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and ensure safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
- Notify management of any situation that may require their attention.
- Follow all cleaning schedules and checklists accurately.
- Understand and be compliant with cleaning procedures and schedules.
- Document and report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or damages.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and neat work environment by following standards and procedures.
- Attend team meetings that impact janitorial operations.
- Complete maintenance or cleaning tasks according to the company's maintenance checklists.
- Fill in for coworkers during their absences.
- Promptly address and resolve cleanliness concerns in a first-class manner that is consistent with guidelines established by the ParkX Management Executive Team.
- Maintain equipment through regular maintenance and preventative care.
- Report equipment damage to management.
- Be available for weekend and after-hours work, particularly during events or peak periods.
- Understand and promote corporate goals, core values, and departmental responsibilities detailed in the Company org chart and Employee Handbook.
- Understand and comply with ParkX’s policies on calls outs, time off, and timeliness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid driver's license without major violations
- Flexibility to work after hours and weekends for events
- Outgoing personality with ability to relate to a diverse group of people and build/maintain strong relationships
- Strong problem‑solving, time management and communication skills
- Must be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with a high degree of integrity
- Must hold oneself and others accountable and strive for a high level of excellence
- Must have a positive, can‑do attitude and be able to fuel growth and innovation
