MDOT MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Aviation High Voltage Electrical Technician in the Office of Facilities Maintenance at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supervises the maintenance and repairs of electrical systems along with subordinate workers and contractors.
- Requires a journeyman level of high-voltage electrical skills with knowledge to repair, maintain, and/or replace electrical equipment and apparatus rated up to, including 33,000 volts; as is required of those that they will be overseeing.
- Maintaining written records, and preparing and submitting reports related to property inspections, preventive maintenance, and equipment inspections.
Employees in this position are designated "Emergency Essential" in the event of airport emergencies, weather emergencies, or irregularities and are subject to extended shifts and being on-call during scheduled off-hours, holidays, and weekends.
This position is located at BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, MD.
