Salary: $14.68 to $15 Per Hour

Contract/Salary: Hourly, Up to 20-hour/week, as needed

Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Director of Maintenance/Building Principal

Position Summary: Assist and perform various custodial duties in the district. Maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment for students and staff.

• Clean/maintain school facilities such as classrooms, restrooms, hallways, entrance doors, entryways, offices, floors, desks, chairs and walls. This includes scrubbing, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and waxing.
• Replenish supplies in restrooms and classrooms; change light bulbs.
• Order janitorial supplies from maintenance office.
• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• Set up chairs/tables for meetings and other items as needed.
• Assist in painting, cutting grass, making repairs, and insuring rooms are securely locked.
• Report maintenance problems to building principal.
• Perform other duties as assigned by building principal or director of maintenance.

• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor.
• Ability to perform daily tasks with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work well with students, staff and parents.
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older and a student within the Fox C-6 School District.

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
