Job Responsibilities
Performs all levels of sanitation to the Counties public buildings and structures. To accomplish these tasks the incumbent will comply with safety standards involving sanitation processes and public buildings taking into consideration County employees and the public. Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms. Clean, dust and wipe furniture, shelves, brass, metal or woodwork; sweep, mop or vacuum floors; empty waste receptacles; refill toilet paper and paper towel dispensers.
Strip, clean buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, as needed. Vacuum and shampoo carpets, as needed. Wash walls and equipment. Wash interior and exterior windows and clean blinds. Locking and or unlocking assigned buildings, as needed. Laundering rags and dust mops. Use and maintenance of assigned power equipment tools such as floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, burnishes, vacuum, etc.
Proper placement of hazard signs in work areas to ensure the safety of employees and public patrons. Use and maintenance of assigned non-power equipment and tools such as brooms, mops, squeegees for the general cleaning and maintenance of floors, walls and furniture.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements- Must pass a limited background investigation, post offer/pre employment drug screen, physical and back screen.
