- Responsible for the technical startup for large, high-profile orders as directed by the Site Leader and Senior Project Start Up Engineer. Work under direct supervision or independently based on training and experience.
- Render on-site and phone assistance to customers.
- Perform work-related tasks according to company guidelines for scheduled maintenance.
- Implement Field Change Notices according to published guidelines.
- Keep current on Safety Bulletins, Safety Field Change Notices, Field Change Notices, and Service Tips.
- Operate in a safe manner in accordance with published safety guidelines
- Wear appropriate PPE as per company guidelines and job duties
- Adhere to work hours policy guidelines
- Report all work-related accidents or injuries within 24 hours
- Provide accurate and timely reporting according to company guidelines
- Submit time cards, expense reports, mileage reports, ticket closure, and related forms
- Maintain individual inventory and company property according to policy
- Complete scheduled maintenance documentation properly and provide to the customer and local office on completion
- Aim for a “first time fix” for customer equipment
- Maintain customer satisfaction rates according to company guidelines
- Attend Customer Meetings as required
- Maximize productivity by combining service opportunities
- Complete all work efficiently and in a timely manner
- Make technical decisions under pressure
- Maintain productive utilization rate and perform inventory cycle counts
- Adhere to dress code and safety regulations
- Meet or exceed on-site response time requirements
- Understand and comply with startup/escalation processes
- Equivalent industry experience and/or Technical or Undergraduate Degree
- Strong interpersonal and professional skills
- Reliable, team-oriented, and customer-focused
- Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints
- Ability to assess site conditions and environmental factors
- Basic fix/repair techniques under directed supervision
- Ability to summarize and report all work performed
- Strong skills in: communication, customer service, troubleshooting, safety, organization, planning, computer usage, and mechanical aptitude
- Operational and planning skills
- Ability to become factory certified on a variety of products interacting with Liebert systems; strong knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution, Generators, Switchgear, and Automatic Transfer Switches
- Willing to travel anywhere in North America ~80% of the time; schedule is project-based and flexible
- No relocation required at this time
- Projects typically last 6-12 months; downtime, PTO, training, regional work, or home-office work may be available
- Typical schedule:
4-6 weeks on-site followed by 1-2 weeks at home base; this varies by project phase - Accelerated on-job-training (OJT) and opportunities to establish a regional base later
