Position Summary

This position will perform a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of academic and campus buildings, as assigned by supervisors. Duties include sweeping, mopping, cleaning chalkboards, vacuuming, dusting, stripping and refinishing floors, cleaning restrooms, windows and doors daily, using a building checklist. Must use automated cleaning equipment and commercial cleaning chemicals. All housekeeping equipment is maintained and problems reported daily.

Must plan work to cover assigned area daily and complete special tasks as assigned.

A valid driver's license is preferred.

Budget and Finance – Campus Operations

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

• Knowledge of the cleaning procedures of public buildings
• Knowledge of automated cleaning equipment and commercial cleaning chemicals

Typical hours are Monday–Friday 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.; occasional overtime may be needed to meet departmental needs or during special events.

All new hires must have credentials/degrees verified within 30 days of employment, and official transcripts (if applicable) must be provided within 30 days of employment.

All new hires are subject to a 12‑month probationary period.

All new hires must pass a background check and complete the E‑Verify process.
