Custodial Specialist; Part-time

Position: Custodial Specialist (Part-time)
Appleseed Community Mental Health Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodial Specialist. This part-time position works Monday through Friday, starting at 6:30 a.m., for approximately 4-5 hours per day. Occasional additional hours may be required based on agency needs; however, the position will not exceed 29 hours per week. The Custodial Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks & assisting in maintenance tasks to ensure our facility remains clean, safe, and welcoming.

Responsibilities:

• Perform custodial cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Clean and restock restrooms, common areas, and offices.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the buildings, including entrances and hallways.
• Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and supply closets.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with minor maintenance and facility upkeep tasks, including lawn care, snow removal, and other maintenance duties as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending, moving/lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Reliable transportation for travel between multiple locations
• Dependable and punctual
