POSITION: General Custodian I (Assistant Head Custodian) – Ashland High School – Second Shift, 8 hours/day, Beginning August 17, 2026

Should be able to perform:

• Cleaning of all surfaces
  • Yard work
  • Proper sanitation of all areas of the building

• Clean the building on a daily basis, wax floors, and sanitize all required areas.
• Interact with students and staff in a professional manner.
• Be in charge of supervising Level III Custodian employees during second shift.
• Clear snow from sidewalks and doorways.
• Help perform minor repairs on school equipment when needed.
• Help perform minor maintenance in all areas when needed.
• Be responsible for securing the building at various assigned times.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the building principal or the maintenance supervisor.

• May often be exposed to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue; must follow all safety guidelines for blood borne pathogens.
• Must occasionally climb steps or ladders to get to various working areas.
• Must occasionally lift items weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Must occasionally plug in and unplug electrical equipment.
• Must occasionally interact with unruly children and/or irate adults.
• Must often work around cleaning chemicals.
