Facilities ; Janitorial

3rd SHIFT:
Sunday-Thursday; 10PM-6:30AM

$18.67 + $2.00 shift differential

As a Facilities I, DC worker, you will conduct housekeeping and janitorial duties that help maintain a safe and clean environment for employees and customers.

• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of building to include, but not limited to, trash removal, sweeping, and mopping of floors in restrooms and break room, vacuuming carpets in offices and showroom.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and break room as needed.
• Maintain a daily log of tasks assigned and completed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months experience in a related field.
• Ability to read, write, and identify labeling information; verbally communicate with staff appropriately.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt priorities or job duties as business needs require.
• Knowledge of floor care, chemicals, sanitizers and building maintenance equipment preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities.
• Must comply with all internal Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
• Understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and awareness of MSDS locations within the facility.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to recognize areas that need immediate attention and respond promptly.
• Self-starter with proficiency and initiative.
• Ability to work efficiently, with minimal supervision.
• Capable of working both independently and within a team.
• Comprehension of verbal and written instructions.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends.

When performing duties, the employee must constantly stand, walk, talk and hear. Lifts/moves up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds. Uses both hands with a full range of motion; often reaches, grasps, performs repetitive hand, wrist, arm motions. Climbs stairs, kneels/squats, bends, carries. Requires close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus. May be required to wear headset covering one or both ears.

Basic literacy required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork. Work environment moderately noisy. Occasionally work near conveyor systems. Exposure to dust, changing weather. Work performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards with machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems. Work environment hectic and fast-paced. Exposed to ambient lighting, extreme heat and cold, including outdoor-like conditions.
