Maintenance Engineer

Marriott is hiring a Maintenance Engineer I to keep our hotel facilities safe, reliable, and guest-ready. In this entry-level role, you will perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems across guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You will respond to work orders and guest requests, troubleshoot issues, maintain equipment logs, and follow safety and regulatory standards.

Working closely with engineering and operations teams, you'll help ensure a comfortable, high-quality guest experience while building skills for long-term growth in hospitality facilities management.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests to ensure safety and comfort
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, plumbing, and minor electrical issues
• Conduct regular inspections of guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records accurately
• Assist with setup, repair, and upkeep of building fixtures, furnishings, and appliances
• Follow safety, fire, and regulatory standards and report hazards immediately
• Coordinate with vendors and other departments to complete repairs efficiently
• Support energy conservation and equipment life-cycle best practices
• Participate in on-call rotations, shift work, and emergency response as needed
