Job OverviewLocated on Jekyll Island, the Tennis Center offers 13 Har-tru clay courts and a pro shop. The Tennis Maintenance Technician provides regular maintenance, cleaning and setup of courts and grounds, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for guests.
Responsibilities- Maintain court cleanliness and readiness for play.
- Perform court maintenance: rolling, brushing, and sweeping.
- Maintain working conditions of sprinklers and nets.
- Keep a daily log of court and environmental conditions.
- Maintain neat, clean, and attractive grounds.
- Follow daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules.
- Report court and equipment issues to supervisor.
- Empty all trash receptacles on courts.
- Clean and refill water containers.
- Provide customer service and enforce policies courteously.
- Give guests information about facilities, rules, and local attractions.
- Perform pro shop operations when cross‑trained, including cash register reconciliation and PCI compliance.
- Work primarily early mornings; occasional flexible shifts may be scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum age 18 with reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends (typically Friday‑Sunday 7:00‑11:00 a.m.).
- Criminal and MVR background check required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good judgment, ability to follow directions, and work independently.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally (20 pounds frequently, negligible force continually).
- Approx. 25–50% of the day spent standing, walking, or performing wrist, hand, and finger motions.
- Less than 25% of the day spent stooping, kneeling, or reaching.
- Read/write and communicate effectively.
- Perform tasks requiring accuracy and thoroughness.
- Work indoors and outdoors; exposed to sun, heat & humidity, cold, and rain.
