Substitute Custodian
We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a School Custodian. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the school premises, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students, teachers, and staff.

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas according to established schedules and procedures.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wax floors as needed.
• Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, chairs, windowsills.
• Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizer.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and notify supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.
• Assist in minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and repairing minor damages.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns to the appropriate authorities.
• Collaborate with other custodial staff members to complete larger cleaning projects or tasks efficiently.
• Provide assistance during special events or emergencies, including setup.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff.
• Flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for all occupants of the school.
